Ashcroft Terminal Health & Safety Update – COVID-19
A message to our valued Ashcroft Terminal customers, partners and community:
As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact the trade and transportation industry we wanted to let you know that Ashcroft Terminal remains open for business. Health & safety protocols have been put in place to ensure safe working conditions for our terminal operations team – today and in the coming weeks. We continue to take guidance from local, provincial and federal authorities and are working quickly to update operations accordingly.
As we follow the developments of COVID-19 our number one priority is keeping our staff, customers and community safe. In addition to an on-going review of our pandemic plan and crisis response, we have enacted preventative measures, including reinforcing elevated workplace and personal hygiene protocols and maintaining strict personal proximity protocols. We have also implemented rotational shifts to split staff groups and ensure business continuity. Where possible, certain departments have switched to teleworking, meetings are being held through video calls and all non-essential business travel has been suspended.
We are engaging our staff to address their concerns and to adapt our operating protocols as best as we can. Some of these measures affect the way we interact with our customers and partners, such as mandatory sign-in upon arrival at our site, making use of electronic communications instead of paper exchanges and ensuring a rapid entry and departure after operations.
We continue to update these measures as resources and information become available. Operational updates will be shared promptly through email, social media and our website. Should you have specific questions about our services, please email [email protected].
We are confident that working together to implement health measures and caring for each other, we will get through this challenging time.
CEO, Ashcroft Terminal
