Project Coordinator

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all construction activities on the work site are coordinated and projects are executed accurately and within a timely manner. The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities and utilize their excellent communication skills to ensure seamless project execution.

MAJOR POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Prepares and coordinates all site documentation from conception to completion
  • Conducts regular site visits to oversee site conditions and ensure proper procedures are in place and adhered to
  • Communicates project expectations with project managers, contractors, and worksite superintendents
  • Allocates resources and materials and assists with production planning and scheduling
  • Coordinates and schedules staff according to work requirements to ensure there is enough manpower at all times
  • Maintains professional relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers

WHAT THE COMPANY WILL EXPECT FROM YOU:

  • Previous project coordination experience with in a construction environment (civil & rail construction an asset)
  • Strong leadership presence and management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with a peers, junior team members, and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with AutoCAD an asset
  • Occasional travel to head office in Vancouver, BC
  • A valid class 5 driver’s license
